Displays: Disability Pride Month

Disability History Month

Disability Pride Mont takes plac in July in the UK. It is an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the lives and the art and activism of Disabled people, past and present, and challenge Disabilism by exploring the oppression people with Disabilities have faced throughout history.

To mark the event, we've put together this digital display of some of the things in our collection from Disabled artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, storytellers and academics, to celebrate the work and creative achievements of Disabled people across time.
