Q - I need to check if an item has been issued to my Library account.
A - You can log into your Library account by clicking 'Log into your account' on the top right-hand corner of the Library Website homepage. For further guidance go to the Using the Library page or watch this short video: Logging in to your Library Account. If you are still having trouble please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q - I want to query a fine, overdue or lost item on my account.
A - Please email email@example.com to query fines, overdues and lost items.
Q - How can I pay fines on my Library Account?
A - We no longer accept cash in the Library or via the Self-Service machines. You can pay your Library fines by card at the Library counter, at the Self-Service machine or online. For further guidance watch this short video: How to pay your fine online.
Q - What is a PIN and why do I need one?
A - You have a PIN to use with your Library card when borrowing Laptops from the LapSafe and borrowing other items using the Self-Service machines. It can be very simple but must contain at least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase character, and 1 number. It can't contain special characters. By having a PIN and not sharing it others will be unable to borrow using your account. Fines can be expensive and the replacement charge for a Laptop is £1700.
Q - I’ve forgotten my PIN.
A - If you need to reset your PIN please follow the guidance on the Using the Library page. We also have written guidance displayed next to the LapSafe Lockers in the Library.
Q - I'm a Short Course student. Where do I get my Library card.
A - Please fill out a Short Course membership form on this page. The Library will email you when your account has been set up and your Short Course Library card is ready to collect.
